Social Transformation in Action
NC4H 4 First Residents
The first group of 4 residence have gone to Harmony Retreat Institute on the 1 March 2019. They will come over to Ekukhanyeni on the 1 June. The first four candidates have been selected by Pearl Ramotsamai (NC4H Programme Director) working in partnership with the DHC. NC4H is born out of His Eminence Wilfrid Cardinal Napier OFM desire to contribute to the betterment of this country and impacting positive change in our communities. Partnerships with eThekwini’s Qalakabusha project, with DUT’s Urban Futures Centre and the Muslim community organisation RAUF have deepened the NC4H’s understanding of the scale of the problem and its complexity.
The idea of the Napier Centre 4 Healing grew directly out of this work and the recognition that a creative and high standard solution was needed if genuine transformation in the lives of homeless drug users was to happen.
